Want some input in a New Car reciever with Nav

Hey guys, brand new here. I'm not much of a car guy but I do love my car. I wanted to get some input from some experts. So I got a 2010 G37x, and I'm sick of not being able to play any music with my galaxy note.

I'm looking at some new audio receivers and stumbled upon a deal at best buy that would give me free installation if I spend more than 100 bucks. I was wondering if you guys could help me pick one.I like the Kenwood Model DMX7706S and Alpine ILX-W650 so far.

So would the aftermarket receiver still have the ability to raise the steering column and back up the car seat when I turn off the car? It's definitely a feature I want to keep.

Also I need a new key for my car, I bought this from a second hand dealership, any advice?

It's not some simple plug and play.

Welcome!

Here's a link to a 2010 owners manual in case you need it:
https://carmanuals2.com/get/infiniti...s-manual-54622

If your car has Nav you're supposed to be able to stream music from your device over Bluetooth, though it might be a bit clunky as it was a newish thing 9 years ago.

Next, check in your center console (under the arm rest) and you may find either a USB port or a couple Aux audio inputs. With some experimenting those may be workable.

There are also some special audio interfaces made by companies like GROM which can be used with the stock audio system.

And lastly, you could go ahead and replace the stock system to get a head unit with usable Bluetooth or audio input jacks... So many choices!

The "entry" feature which moves the steering column and seat has nothing to do with the audio system.

You'll hate yourself for removing the stock system, things won't work right from what I've read and also it looks awful without the stock system. There's tons of options for Bluetooth if you look around

I luckily bought mine with a GROM (google grom g37) already installed. This allows me to connect my phone to it and play music using the stock speakers and system. As for navi, i would recommend just using your phone.

My dads G didn't have any way to get music to his phone, but what he ended up doing was splicing into the XM unit in the trunk. He had to get a preamp for his phone due to signal degradation, and it works! I don't remember much of the install, I was working on something else with him at the time.
