Since I picked up my 2013 G37x the intermittent wipers have never worked NOR the rain sensing functions but the rain sensing function seems to be in my menu iirc.
I am guessing the only way this doesn't work is if I don't have the proper windshield? Mine currently has a big crack & needs to be replaced. Any idea how I can tell if I have the right windshield now?
The rain sensor is mounted on the interior side of the windshield behind the rear view mirror. It is attached using a thick silicone "pad" (think clear double-sided tape). Technically, if the windshield has to be replaced so does the rain sensor, but as the sensor is no longer available from Infiniti, the sensor appears to be available from parts.infinitiusa.com and NOT from discountinfinitiparts.com.

Wait what? how is a rain sensor no longer made for the g37?

After further checking it is still available. It seems that discountinfinitiparts.com's web catalog is wrong. When I enter the part number for the sensor it comes back with a p/n for a screw which replaces the sensor (?):
But the parts.infinitiusa.com website shows it as available:
I apologize for the confusion. Usually the catalog at discountinfinitiparts.com is spot on- not sure why their catalog is showing incorrect results.
