Are some better suited for some environments than others? Sorry for the newbie question. Stock blades on my 2009 slightly streak. We get a fair amount of rain here in New Orleans, often in downpours.

Bosch icon are the ones I have on my G right now and they're awesome. The rain-x ones I had on my max, and they came off on the highway one week after I had them (yes...I installed them properly). Got the Bosch ones and haven't looked back.

I recently switched to the Trico Force blades. I was in desperate need for new ones in a heavy rain storm on my old car and when I went to buy the pricey but reliable Bosch Icons, the Trico ones were almost the same price but had a $20 rebate so I tried them out. They are fantastic. No streaks and no noise. I bought another set for my G even without the rebate. About $40 a pair for the G coupe, Icons are $45.

You wont go wrong with either one of those.

Rain-X Latitude 8in1. Work well, last a while.

If you have a costco near you, they have Goodyear Assurance blades for $7.99 each. They are curved like the rainx latitudes and last a long time. I have been using them on my cars for years with good results. Sometimes they have a BOGO coupon as well.
