Center Console & Electrical Screen between Tachometers loses power then restarts

I have a 2012 g37 sedan - no nav. Recently, my center console will occasionally lose power, then reset and turn back on. Today, after not doing this for several weeks, it did it and stayed off for 3 minutes, then the center console displayed the Infiniti start up like when you start the car.

The power loss impacts the radio, ac, turn signals, tilt, and power seats. The strange thing is that the system comes back online -- today it was the longest it was offline. I doubt it is a fuse since the systems come back online.

Any ideas?

I was pretty sure it wasn't a fuse -- since the problem would occur randomly and the displays would restart and come back online, but I checked every fuse anyway -- not the issue -- now my homelink isn't working and the horn doesn't beep when using the handsfree lock/unlock button on the door -- but it beeps when I use the fob buttons. Any other ideas?

Being sporadic leads me to suspect a short in a wire harness or a weak ground connection.

Have you checked for any water infiltration in/on/near the BCM area? Remove the plastic panel at the passenger side footwell area under the dash and check for any signs of water. These cars are becoming notorious for water leaks in this area due to a faulty sunroof drain and/or a leaking firewall grommet.

I found a manual showing the diagnostic and I see this in the error history, but I don’t know what it means or how to fix.

That indicates that there is a problem with the Bluetooth/telephone module located in the trunk. It is either a power issue or a communication signal error. Best thing you can do is check the wiring harness at the module for moisture/corrosion/looseness.

Unless you actually use the hands free phone, I would just disconnect the harness at the module and see if that resolves your issue.

Thanks for the suggestion -- I disconnected the harness and I still had the issue.

Strangely enough it occurred to me, the loss seems to occur after a normal left hand turn and power returns on a right hand turn. If I slowly take the left hand turn it doesn't seem to happen.

Considering all instruments lose power, not just Bluetooth, is there a connection point for all console instruments combined (radio, AC, heads up, turn signal, hazards, seat motor) that might be compromised?

Just about everything is tied, in one way or another to the BCM. There could be any number of ground connection points that could be affected. Unfortunately, the only way to know for sure is to trace all of the wiring and check connections.

Negative on water infiltration?

What puzzles me is that you are able to replicate the issue specifically with left and right hand turns- almost like something is moving/flexing with the vehicle... interesting...
