Help with Audio streaming, 30 pin cable or connector not working

Just bought a kit with the bovee and 30pin iPod connector to stream music to my 08 coupe with navigation via my iPhone. But the bovee doesn’t even turn on when connected and the car on. Wondering if there’s a way to know if it’s the cable, bovee or worse, my 30 pin plug in the car

My bovee can randomly, more often than not, take up to 5 minutes to start working.

It works fine in my friends Acura but not sure what's going on with the Infiniti, been too busy to really troubleshoot it. I've heard this happens to other members as well.

To test I would plug the bovee into another vehicle or something similar to check.

Just found the solution in case in the future someone needs this info.
Apparently, you need a cablejive as well as a scosche passport to get it to work because the car doesn't transmit the power to the right pins since its meant for older ipods. so you need to buy all this and connect it all together, it works flawlessly now! i dont know how to some people were able to make theirs work with just the bovee and the 30 pin cable.

To be specific you need the CableJive dockStubz+ charge converter. The Scosche passport is a wildcard as some applications will work without it, some wont. The big problem is both products are now discontinued. The only way the infinity 30 pin harness would work with the Bovee is if it has been modified to supply the 5V to the USB power lines. Also pretty sure your going to need a D-A converter somewhere in the mix since the lightening connector is digital and the 30 pin makes use of the analog outputs to feed the Infinity head unit

neither are discontinued yet, and if they are, they’re definitely still available, I got mine from a German seller on amazon but it actually got here in 1 week despite having a 3 week arrival estimate. The scosche passport I bought on eBay

Sorry but both products have been discontinued by the manufacturer, what you are buying is NOS that has been squirreled away by various suppliers; the fact that you purchased one from a German seller on Amazon and the other on eBay is a dead giveaway. While availability may be good, it comes at a price. The original sales price for the Dockstubz+ was $19.95. Prices now are north of $50
