blue tooth hiccups

Hey all, I have a 2012. My bluetooth has hiccups. That is the stream gets interrupted, even though the stream is not buffering. Has anyone else had these issue

Yes. Same problem with iphone 8 plus and 2011 Journey Coupe. I use a USB cable now (better sound quality and provides a charge). I think maybe the car has an older bluetooth version installed.

The only time I get "hiccups" is if my phone is on silent and notifications come thru, the phone will mute the BT stream as the notification is occurring. Pretty much a "glitch" in my version of Android, why mute BT audio for a vibrate notification? Something the developers overlooked I guess.

So far, the BT in my car is more reliable than my 2016 GTI was, and that was pretty good also. Most issues are traceable back to the phone.
