Angry Blower Motor Running Continously

Hey All,

Started the car today and before the engine even turned over the blower motor kicked on high for a second, which I thought was odd, but whatever...

Driving along and it was a nice cool day so I rolled down the windows and shut the climate control off. Pull into a parking lot and thinking to myself why does it sound like the fan is still on? It was. Climate Control completely off, fan still runs at high. If I turn it on it functions normally but I cannot adjust the fan speed.

Any idea what would cause this or what I would need to fix?

Had the same problem on a MR-2 and a Acura CL-S; it was a resistor. Don't remember how much to fix, but I don't remember it being a lot.

Yeah, sounds like some kind of resistor issue. GMs are notorious for this, but I haven't really heard of it being an issue in other makes, but anything is possible.

Anyone know if the G's blower motor has the resistor built in? I can't seem to find the part online -- but one listing on ebay said it was built into the blower motor.

See post #22 on this thread: https://g35driver.com/forums/general...mittent-2.html

The thread relates to the 1st gen G but the Blower motor relay is in the same place for the 2nd gen G35/G37
