So I went to the local Tim Hortons for a coffee, and I hit the ignition to shut the car off. For some reason, the engine kept running, the center screen stayed on, but the dash and the HVAC system shut down. Then the dash lit back up with the Key warning light, and the CEL. Hit the igntion again, and everything powered down as usual. Getting back in I hit the ignition and everything was normal, but the CEL stayed on. USing my scanner it came up as code U0164, for losing communication to the HVAC. Could someone tell me why my car might have done this? I don't really know what the cause could have been, maybe the ECU didn't understand something?
