Do I need to run new speaker wire?

So I'm throwing in some new components up front. I will be putting the 6.5" in the hole for our 10" woofer using an adapter and ideally, would like to reuse that woofer's speaker wire. According to bose, those woofers are currently receiving 70 watts and if the wire is noticeably beefier than that going to the other speakers ( still not sure what guage it is). I plan to be running 110 watts to my new speakers. If the factory wire is currently taking 70 watts, do you think 110 should be fine or do I NEED to re run new wire?

Thanks

OK, you may be feeding them with a 110 watt amp but are they direct wired to the amp or are they coupled with a crossover network? Also, to be completely accurate, Id need to know the resistance of the speaker your using, the length run of wire between the amp and the speaker and the maximum voltage your amp will drive those speakers with to deliver the 110 watts

that wire is 18 awg. it's perfectly fine to run up to 225 watts through an 18 awg wire. You'll certainly be fine with the factory wire.

The factory wire will work fine.

I went the hard way and drilled the molex, ran new wires, and spent about 8 hours carefully doing it.

How do you know it's 18 awg, you measured it?

You can pretty much eyeball it.
Its either 18ga or 20ga.

Don't get to caught up in the specs.
Music is very dynamic.

I've been employed professionally in the 12-volt industry for 28 years. It's my job to know this stuff. Also, the schematics say so.
