Looking for a replacement battery

Going to be replacing the battery in my 09 G37X, it's been replaced once before about 4 years ago and I have maintained it weekly in winter and monthly in summer by charging it with a CTEK 7002 until it was fully charge. The battery, even when new, always seemed a little weak.

I was planning on getting the EverStart Maxx 24F 750CCA from Walmart or Excide Extreme 24F 800CCA from Home Depot.
Anyone have any input on these? The reviews seem favorable and I think some guys here have the Excide.

Does anyone use any memory retention device to supply power while removing the battery? Would like to keep all the settings on everything.

If you have a costco membership, I'd go with them. They offer 42 month replacement warranties. The catch is any time the battery is replaced the warranty timer restarts. With home depot that's not the case. Also, the battery itself is cheaper from costco.

I have the exide 24f which was replacement 26 months after installation. Part of it was probably not using the car regularly. Exide offers a 40 month warranty. I don't think the extra cca is worth it as the battery already exceeds stock requirements.

Costco fitment #23 (group 24f) is listed at 700 cca, while the exide is at 800 cca. I believe the stock battery is around 500-550 cca. I'm not familiar with the walmart brand, but exchanges should also be trouble free.

I just replaced the battery in our honda. Went with the costco one for price and service. Home depot gave me grief when I exchanged it a month ago.

You're lucky, my local Costco said they don't carry batteries for my car

They said the same about the honda battery. Disregard what the tech says. A group 24f does fit. I believe stock is group 35. The 24F is a bit wider and taller (1/8"?). It will fit the battery tray. It's also higher CCA rated.

Yup looking at 24F. I don't have a CostCo membership but my parents do so maybe can use them. But I don't have one near me so a bit of a hassle for if i need to use the warranty. I think CostCo is using Interstate batteries with 700CCA but does NOT appear to be the Megatron series.

I checked the Walmart battery and it's 750CCA 36 month replacement and made by Johnson Controls in Wisconsin.

The Home Depot battery is 800CCA 40 month replacement made by Exide but they don't really carry a lot and makes me wonder if they will even have them in 40 months. But I did ask customer service what would happen if that was the case and they said they would just refund my money.

So it's really a toss up Walmart vs Home Depot.

FYI, picked up the Excide from Home Depot and checked it with my Solar BA9 battery tester and it came back at over 900CCA. I am impressed let hope it lasts.

One last thing, should I use those felt things on the battery posts?
