Recently my backup camera started having some problems whenever I close the trunk on my G37s. Whenever I close the lid and than use the backup camera the picture shows up snowy or with a lot of noise. Sometimes the picture is just black with the guidelines still present. This normally fixes itself after sometime but when I use the trunk again the problem happens again. Any idea what might be the problem?

Loose connection (wiring)????

The first thing that I'd do would be to remove the inner truck lid liner and check the connection between the camera and the main harness.

 

Having similar issue. Did you figure out what the cause was, and a fix yet?

 

Try checking were the wires flex near the trunk hinge. i have a '14 and they travel near the left hinge inside a flexible conduit. IIRC my sons G35 wires routed near the right hinge and we had to repair those several times, but that was for the trunk release, no BU cams back then....
