I just bought a used 2009 G37X AWD from a dealer. I'm still reading the manuals online (he said the car didn't have manuals when he bought it), but I'm trying to determine if the rearview camera is part of the nav pkg. He didn't tell me what packages it came with, but I have the gps and other items that make me think it has the nav pkg. But when I put the car in reverse, the nav screen is blank and there is a message across the bottom about looking behind me when I back up - or some such text. I've hunted around online and I can't tell if the rearview camera is supposed to come with the nav pkg or if it is a separate option that the original owner didn't purchase. So I don't know if the car just doesn't have the rearview camera or if it is broken. Any help appreciated. Thanks.

 

I have 09 g coupe x and have nav as well as rev camera. If you have nav you should have rev camera.

 

Look at your trunk spoiler. Is there a camera lense?

 

Any dealer can run the VIN number and tell you exactly what options or packages the vehicle came with. Have you ever met with the service manager at the dealer where you made your purchase?

Unfortunately, no, it was a used car dealer who conveniently neglected to inform me. So I guess I'm stuck without it unless I want to pay to get it repaired.

Yes, it's right in the middle next to a silver button, which I assume is the manual trunk release.
