Amp Replacement

Is anybody did a "direct" replacement of their Bose amplifier (with NO navigation) for starters?https://www.myg37.com/forums/images/.../confused2.gif If you did what was the amp you use.
I am looking for an amplifier that the only thing I need to do is take the wires from the OEM amplifier and plug into the new one. I not want to deal with cutting or splicing anything. I just replace the front midle speaker and it was a pain in the rear because of the tabs the OEM had but finally done.

This will not be possible without tapping into your factory wires. For any aftermarket amp, you are going to need to feed it a signal from your HU. The only way to accomplish this is to splice into the outputs that lead into the bose amp, and run those RCA cables into the aftermarket amp. Unfortunately, no 'direct plug & play' amps exist for this application. You can use wire taps, which will give you a fairly reversible connection. Check our Audio, video and electronics forum, you'll find more of the information you need in there.

With Bose, the easiest thing to do is to tap into the low level outputs from the head unit and add RCAs. Then attach a subwoofer amp/sub to those. This is a substantial improvement over stock and not terribly difficult or expense. Replacing anything in the Bose setup is substantially more work, and in most cases, it just makes sense to pull everything out and start from scratch. Not sure if you are up for this type of project, but anything is possible given enough time and money.
