Question Shopping for G37 confused on Bluetooth and USB Connector

I am in the market for G37 Sedan. Preferably 2010 and above. I've test drove 4 and its become quite confusing on a feature I'd like. Most of them list they have Bluetooth but which models have Bluetooth audio streaming ? One model I test drove only let me connect Bluetooth for voice calls. Me and the sales guy wasted 30 minutes trying to get audio to work I want to be able to stream music, podcast and Pandora wirelessly from iPhone or Samsung Note 4. Do I have to get a G37 in certain year ? and does it require Navigation for this to work ?

Lastly can any phone be connected to the USB jack in the arm rest? Does the playlist etc show on the screen ?

The navigation ones are the only ones you can stream music through Bluetooth, and with the USB the only compatible phone is an iPhone witch you can manage the music on the screen unfortunately doesn't work with android or even will play android music you would have to but a Bluetooth converter or something like that

So regardless of year you have to have navigation to stream bluetooth ? or did full audio streaming start at some model year?
Has anyone found a reliable solution for non Navi androids ?

As far as I know of yes I have a 2011 and it a non navi and it only plays through USB I'm guessing 2012 and 2013 is the same. I have no idea what android users use but I heard best thing to do is get a iPod at least because it streams well instead of buying aftermarket Bluetooth adapter

Correct, regardless of the year, non-navi cars will not stream music via BT.

I have a '13. Agreed, just get an iPod (I got a nano) and just leave it in the console. Works fine.

Just don't get a 4th gen iPod touch. They have this annoying glitch where the music pops like an old record when playing through USB. Ask me how I know...
Got a new nano and I don't have any issues.

GiTANK USB Bluetooth adapter.

Check out the GiTANK bluetooth adapter at amazon. So far I have tried Grom, a bluetooth adapter soldered to my SAT box, FM adapters, and even another bluetooth usb adapter that is supposed to work like the GiTANK but has horrible lag and no song artist, title or album info; NONE have worked as easily or as well as the GiTANK! You can find the link on my post @:
