Adding Nav + Backup/Rear Cam to OEM Screen

Hello Everyone

I currently have a no nav, no backup camera 7-inch non-touch OEM screen on my G37 (Infinti OEM Part # 28091-JK000) and I'm looking to add the nav + backup cam capabilities to the unit. Right now I'm looking the Prodigy 1.2 system that should integrate well with my OEM screen. PRODIGY ONE.2 NISSAN / INFINITI KIT | INTRAPHEX

I do really like the WiFi and touchscreen features on this unit, and the module looks good and plays nice with the OEM screen for a clean finish. However, the unit alone is costing me $1691+ taxes. Add to that cost of the backup camera and labor for installation, and my total cost is getting closer to 2 grand!

My questions is, are there any cheaper alternatives to the Prodigy 1.2 system that offer similar performance/features? Is the Prodigy 1.2 system really all that it's cracked up to be, i.e. worth spending the big bucks? Also, how does the map update on this unit work? Would I be required to spent extra cash after to update?

Any reviews, words or wisdom or advice would be greatly appreciated

So this project was put on hold for a few months as I couldn't find anything that I was fully convinced I wanted to go with. I found other OEM integrated nav/back-up units for the G37 as well. Navtv.com has some decent options.

However, recently I'm a fan of the idea of Android screen mirroring my phone to the G37 OEM screen (7-inch non-touch, no nav or backup cam). I found a DIY for this on the forum here: https://www.myg37.com/forums/audio-v...37-screen.html

But this doesn't solve the problem of a back-up camera. When I approached Navtv.com they told me even if I purchase a nav+backup camera module from them the touchscreen would only work on their OS, and not during screen mirroring? I guess the only way to mirror my phone screen and control it on the dash is to get a factory OEM Infiniti touchscreen. But I think they only make those for Europe and Middle East models

So my dilemma remains: if I want to add backup camera, navigation, wifi and touch screen capabilities with screen mirroring to my 7-inch OEM screen that currently can do non of these things.. what's my best course of action?

Has anyone gotten the rear sonar to work on the PX6 13.6" Android 9 screens? This is for a 2011 G37S convertible

My sonar worked before I removed the factory stereo to put in one of these Android units. I have the FSM so I ohmed out the signals to make sure the AVCOMM pins from the sonar box are correctly connected to the AVCOMM pins on the PX6. So it looks like (hardware wise) everything is ok. I went through the menus and made sure that the "radar sound" option was set. I have the car type set to QX70 with Tangdu protocol. Checked with car both in ON and running position with car in reverse. Everything else seems to be working ok; just nothing from PX6 indicating that sonar is being used.
