Sitting bored in bed, a thought came across my head. I've noticed that the image quality between my backup camera (2011 w/o nav) and my friend's car (2011 w/ nav) were quite different. His being quite a bit more crisp and clear in terms of picture.

When comparing the backup camera on a non-nav with a navigation equipped G37, are there any differences in regards to screen resolution on the head unit or the optic sensors on the cameras?

 

Dunno about the actual camera, but the screen is much more low res on the base G. I'd bet the camera is the same.
