just finished my amp install. On my 2013 g37x sedan w/boss. I followed https://www.myg37.com/forums/members...eigerwald.html steps and I don't have any sound going to the sub I tapped into harness b41 #s 23-26 and #22 for remote I tried with a LOC and straight tap with no luck any help or suggestions will be really appreciated

Is the amp not powering on, or is it powering on but no output? I used wire #20 for the turn on signal. If the amp is powering on properly, make sure that the polarity wasn't switched when tapping the RCA wires in. It's also worth mentioning that I had no sound with the wire taps either, and the amp would not turn on. I ended up cutting the wires and soldering in the RCA's and remote signal. After that, everything was fine. I tried the red taps and also the blue taps, neither worked. I'm not sure what the issue was, I just assumed I had a bad set of wire taps.

 

Thanks for your help CRiME. The amp powers on just have no output. How would I check if the polarity was switched? I'm going to have to solder the wires and hope that works!

 

Well I just finished soldering the wires and nothing still no output

 

You can verify polarity if you have a multimeter, but once you've stripped your RCA cable, just check to make sure that the positive half of the RCA cable connects to pin #24 for the left side, negative to #23, and the positive half of the other RCA cable is connected to pin #26, negative to pin #25 for the right side. Since you've done installs before, you probably have it correct, but sometimes it can be easy to mix up these small things - especially when working with such a cramped harness.

If the connections check out OK, I would investigate the amp next - do you have a different camp that you could try?

 

I checked all my wiring and made sure it was correct before I soldered the wires I guess I'm going to buy another amp

 

UPDATE: so today I went to a audio shop to troubleshoot my issue turns out that the amp Is no good. But I noticed that the guy from the audio shop disconnected where I tapped into harness b41 and he tapped into the harness that goes to the bose sub is that a safe place for signal or to tap into?
