Aftermarket HIDs 2013 g37x
So after doing some research and looking through these forums, it seems that there is a problem with 2011+ models and aftermarket HIDs. I could not find anything specific with my year or any solutions that people found so here i am asking if anyone found a solution for this or a brand that works with our cars.
I ordered 8000k replacement bulbs from iJDMTOYS. they do not work at all! one of them worked but when i switched it from left to right and back left, it stopped working.
2013 g37x coupe.

Maybe. In my book every bulb over 6K it's not quality bulb. Philips, Osram, Hella... never made bulb over 6K. And don't even start with these H11. H9...ORIGINAL PHILIPS rebased bulbs. This is only my opinion.

That was your first mistake, I bought some LED's from them and they were junk, they sent the wrong ones (3 times) and made me take a picture of what was sent as they didn't believe me. After all that the lights were crap. Going with 8000k is loosing you a lot of lumens and the color is pretty blue, almost purple ... dare we say rice? Stick with Orsam CBI's!

I bought a set of these:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/111602114786?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
Every now and then I have to cycle the headlights on and off when I first start the car to get the driverside one to turn on.
I wonder what the difference is between the pre-2012's and the 2012's and up to cause these problems?

Is there a point getting after market white HIDs since the car comes stock with white lights?
Seems like there is no hope for these 8000k rice or not

Well the OEM ones are 4300 kelvin, which has some yellow in it. Especially noticeable when you have a 5000k LED installed in the fogs or parking lights. The Orsam CBI bulbs get you closer to that nice white light. Agreed, not a huge difference IMHO so when my HID's go, I'll replace them then with Orsam but don't see the need to spend the money for a swap out now.
