I think some of this is due to LEO training in your area. Different places in the country are using different equipment. Not much will save you with an officer using easy on! I know my 9500ix has saved me many, many times. I haven't had a ticket in 12+ years. Hope that trend continues.

Well you're in for it now. Enjoy your ticket.

I am in Washington and you can choose this option when you send your ticket in the mail without ever having to go to court, as long as you haven't had any tickets in three years prior and as long as you haven't already asked for a deferral in the past 7 years.

I can definitely say from experience this does not apply in NY or NJ. They want REVENUE and they want it bad. A 6 point speeding ticket is not only the $200-300 fine but also another $300 DMV "Driver Responsibility Fee". so close to $600 for going 71 in a 50.... and unless you have a lawyer you will be paying that fine because they calibrate their radar guns religiously and the cops show up to court 90% of the time.

Sorry had to vent!

radar detectors can save you when LEO are instant on IF you have other cars around you.

But its pretty easy to see a guy going 75MPH in a pack of cars when everyone else is going 60MPH

I am not sure how you got busted...I had a Belltronics (top of the line model at the time) and never got a ticket either. I picked up signals at least 5 miles out which is more than enough time to slow down. Even with instant on...idk. Sorry you got tagged
