reprogrammed it, and Voila

Cheers again to mystikal if you want to add something feel free. and hope you all install it too.

Goodnight lol.
So was the only issue making sure that virtual tach is selected and then to cut the yellow loop wire?

ok good to hear! I've done the install with a dball2 last time and I'm going through the install again on a different G - hopefully this weekend.

At least this time theres only one wire to extend and run over to the passenger side.

still nothing but problems over here. Ended up buying the XKLOADER2 just to see if the issue was with the programming of my module and still no luck. Has anyone here successfully done this install with a DBALL2 on a 2007? I'm pretty sure the 800Niss firmware is associated with the DBALLPRO because on my screen it comes up as: 402.NISS3HT 2.16

Under RSR/RXT tool on STEP 3 i select Viper as the brand (which seems weird to me) and i believe this is what you guys are using even tho I'm not using an extender module?? but then what remote do you guys choose?

I don't see anything that says VIRTUAL TACH but mine has the option for DATA TACHOMETER....is that the same thing?

i also do not see anything anywhere about "3x lock"

Any help would be greatly appreciated....

I used only the DBALL2Pro...This is the only module that still supports 3x remote start with factory remote..The same steps worked for me last night when I installed the same kit on my dads car, he has the same car as me lol...That install took me about 25 minutes.

What do you have? What type of car? Year? Are you using the config wizard that pops up? It should ask you to put your vehicle info...
couple things:
1) program module with the xloader on the site, using the config wizard..Make sure you select viper alarm, and uncheck security (that should be the first sceen)
Hit "next" and check the options to find virtual tach...Change IT to Virtual Tach, it should be under Tachometer.

2) make sure on the module you either; CUT the LOOP if you have a Automatic car. Or keep the LOOP if you have manual

3) If you successfully loaded the firmware, and you plugged everything up and the module is BLINKING! Then perform the reset on the module using the manual...I think it goes:
Unplug the White harness (power to the module). Hold down programming button, plug in the white harness...wait for several seconds until the lights solid, then release the button. The light should go off and come back on solid (if it didn't try it again, follow the manual)
Afterwards you should be able to program the key; 1) hit unlock, 2) place key fob in port, 3) hold down brakes for 5 seconds, or until green light 4) remove key fob 5) Test it out.

Good luck

I see that Fortin now offers a Nissan plug-n-play kit for 2007+ PTS systems: EVO-NIST1 | Preloaded module & T-Harness combo for 2007+ Nissan and Infiniti Push-To-Start vehicles. | Fortin

Has anybody tried this unit yet? I installed one of these kits on my Cherokee and had a lot less headaches....

OK, so here's the scoop:

the message that pops up on Xpresskit's website about DBALL not supporting 3x lock start feature is no joke LOL. I clicked on the online TECH link (which was extremely helpful) and he told me about how Xpress does not support 3x feature after October 1st, which at this time figured I was totally screwed. I think explained to him that I had bought the unit in August which was before they don't support it and he looked up the ID number on the unit. Low and behold he said that I should still be good because the unit was originally flashed back in April. He had to do some things on his end and add the 3x feature back in and after jumping thru a bunch of hoops the feature was turned back on in my end and I was able to successfully program! tested and all is good now.

I'm thinking of buying EVO-NIST (
Amazon.com: Fortin - EVO-NIST1 - Stand-Alone Remote Starter System For Nissan Infiniti With Push-To-Start Smart Key: Electronics Amazon.com: Fortin - EVO-NIST1 - Stand-Alone Remote Starter System For Nissan Infiniti With Push-To-Start Smart Key: Electronics
) which comes prewired for Nissan and Infiniti with push start button. How hard will it be to install? I've hard wired radar detector and replaced start button with GTR button so I'd like to think that I'm handy but this seems like a serious undertaking...this is for wife's automatic sedan.

Also, do I need to buy flash-link firmware update with EVO-NIST?

I saw you figured it out. I just bought the dball2pro which still supports the 3x lock remote start. But in the end I am adding the xl202 with a seperate 2 way long range remote - for the extra money it's worth it to me. If I can't see my car the remote will say if it truly started instead if hoping my car sees 3 hits of the lock button.

I chose to go with the dball over the fortin because I already know how to install the dball and it was easy to program last time. Especially with all the help from this thread.

I think I will also get an long range antenna because I have to be within 100 feet to be able to start the car lol

Hey mystikal

2 days ago after finishing work, I drove the car for almost 30 min to the pizza restaurant, I left the car idling for almost 2 min to get them my order and when I went back to the car, I only press the unlock button and the car suddenly stop idling, engine stopped working?

Did this situation ever happen to you, or anyone else with Dball/2pro also?
