Kicker hideaway

Hello,
I always wanted to get a new sound system on my G, but the space was always an issue. So I was preparing for DIY for the custom fit box on the side instead of huge box in the center.

There is a product from Kicker called Hideaway and it is really small to mount it anywhere. I rather just get this little piece instead of all the trouble.

Does anyone have this installed?
Where did you mount it?
Quality review?

if you need to save space and want something similar to this, I would recommend the infinity bass link.

I had one and it was great.

fits almost perfectly in either side pocket of our trunks.

Its 10" sub with a passive radiator on the other side. 300rms.

crutchfield or sonicelectronix usually provide the wiring for the amp also.

Dont expect miracles from a single 8" in a very small enclosure.

yes 8" subs can get extremely loud and sound fantastic...but i don't think that's the case here

Just installed this today- LOVE the sound. It's significantly bigger than a basslink, but I think the sound is better. I have a basslink in my Miata and it does a nice job, but it's not nearly as deep of a thump as the RF.

In the trunk up against the rear seat. It won't fit in one of niches over the wheel wells. It doesn't take up too much space though...very happy! I was playing some NWA driving home tonight and it was thumping at 1/3 power.

you should try here if you don't like the zenclosure style boxes. Infiniti Custom Fiberglass Enclosures Archives | Custom Subwoofer EnclosuresCustom Subwoofer Enclosures
any decent stereo shop can make a custom box for you though.

Hi, I just got mine today =D
Could you please share a picture how you connected the power wire to your battery? or power source?

This is my first time installing any aftermarket audio products

Thanks!

The bad thing about prefabbed sub boxes is, they're not designed for the air space a sub requires. I think it's always best to go custom or get a box designed for your sub by the manufacture
