Switch 12 volt source
Switch 12 volt source
Hello,
Last weekend, I installed the Kicker Hideaway. It is a small powered amp speaker. Keeping the long story short, the unit doesn't always kick and the switch turns red meaning there is an error.
So, I called Kicker and found out that I didn't install one blue wire.
The agent told me to tap the blue wire to Switch 12 volt Source.
He said it is a source that turns on when the ignition is on. Right?
Where can I find this Switch 12 volt source? or where do you recommend me to install it?
Thanks!

On my '11 with bose, I found that pin #20 in the b41 harness provided switched +12v power. It is a white wire. If you haven't done so yet, have a look at these excellent pictures, courtesy of gsteigerwald:

It may or may not have enough power to trigger the amp. If you have too you can run the remote wire to the drivers side fuse box & splice into the 15amp 12V socket fuse. I had to do this with my Kicker amp.
