Ok so I have been searching high and low for the adapter below. I know I can use the RCA connections and USB for the charge/audio out. But I was wondering if this will allow me to change music before I order this Via the connector in the center console that was used originally for my Ipod

I do NOT want to have to replace the stereo system just to have my stupid controls from my steering wheel...

If that isn't possible any other ideas for my music?

You'd be my hero if you have a solution!

Between the two it seems to be the fix I was looking for- Now to try it out I will let you guys know what I find out in a few weeks once these arrive etc etc...

 

which i-pod is it that you're trying to charge? you have the oem cable to connect the i-pod thought the armrest, right? that gives you control via the steering wheel. what it might not do, however, is charge the i-pod (if it's a newer generation unit). for that you'll need the adapter (or get an older generation i-pod to leave in the car). i have one of the scosche passport adapters i don't use anymore. pm me if you're interested.

Looks like you have a Samsung Note according to your title. The adapter you are looking at is only for the iphone - the connector is specific to only the iphone - and will not plug into your phone.

Since you mention the RCA inputs, I'm guessing you have either and 08 or 09 G. I have an 09 and wish the connector that came with mine was universal and would work with my android phone rather than just the iphone. Its crazy that all the car manufacturers seem to think the iphone is the only phone people use these days and want to build in connections specific to only it.

Very frustrating.

Hey you bought the wrong stuff.
You can't do it through the iPod connection. Must be rca aux.

Get a Bluetooth to 3.5 audio jack device and a 3.5 to RCA wire and ur done.

It's really cheap stuff. I suggest you return all that other stuff cause it only works with iPods/iPhones.
