Can not Charge Iphone 5
Can not Charge Iphone 5
I have an iphone 5 and can not get the unit to charge in my 2008 Infiniti G37.
I am using the Cable Jive DOCKSTUBZ+ adapter since my car is using firewire for charging
dockStubz Charge Converter and 30-pin Pass-Through Adapter
Along with that the 30 pin to lightning adapter cord.
When everything is connected music works but when I plug in a micro usb cord for charging on the side of the Cable Jive the music stops playing. Like some sort of protection.
This exact setup worked fine with my iphone 4. The only difference is the lightning adapter.
I have never been able to figure out when the Cable Jive never charged without the micro usb attachment as it should but I guess it is a common problem.
Any thoughts?
Btw I have the Premium Nav Package

I had the same problem. The old interface will run the newer iphone/ipod, but it will not charge it.
I bought a scoche "passport" on Amazon. I think it costs around $24.
They only come in 30 pin, so you will also need a 30 pin-to-lighning adapter.
Plug the scoche passport into the stock ipod cable in the car, then attach the lightning adapter to it and you are good to go.. Unfortunately, it doesn't leave a lot of space left over in the arm rest, but it works..
Hope this helps!
