iPhone 5 via USB stuck Reading File...

I have a 2012 G37x and was happily using my iPhone 4 to play music through the USB connector. I just upgraded to the iPhone 5, and now when I connect via USB, it charges the phone, but the system gets stuck with "Reading File" on the screen indefinitely. Anyone else having this issue via USB?

Thanks

I know this doesn't answer your question, but have you tried playing the music through Bluetooth? I got the 5 but only use bluetooth to play music.

Are you using the regular lightning to USB cable or an adapter?

I haven't tried Bluetooth audio, I'll give that a shot. I'm using the Apple lightning cable that came with the phone.

I had a similar problem with my G37 as well! My stereo would randomly freeze while playing music from the 5, and I would have to restart the 5 to correct it. Never had the problem with the 4S. Use the Bluetooth! Same quality and don't have to worry about getting phone out and plugging it in. Also, you won't have to buy a separate cable for home and car.

I have a 2013 premium nav with iPhone 5. The one day I tried, worked fine through USB cable. I have had some BT audio issues which I'm about to post.
