Ipod extension cable with charge

i.e. -- I'm looking for a Scosche type adapter that is a wire, not a loose fitting POS like the scosche adapter -- need it to charge/data-transfer on 2k9 G37 with iphone 4s.

the Scosche works well, but falls out too often and has a tenuous connection at best.

Any suggestions?

I found several options (apparently) on ebay/amazon that are iphone/pod data cable extensions but none clearly state if they do what the scosche does -- allow charging of the iphone 4s .

Thanks

Brandmotion is what your looking for. If you search you'll see. I have one that I may be selling soon if I can't get it to work with my car. Has work with others though. Think it's either just my car or the Nissan cable. I'm hoping it's the Nissan cable.

Well, purchased a new Nissan connector and the BrandMotion wire works flawlessly. Charges my iDevices and everything. Nice solid connection unlike that POS scosche.

Nissan connecter? Tell me more!!!!!!!

What did you do for the setup? What exactly did you buy for parts? How much $$ were they? I must know because I'd really like to charge my iPhone 4 in my G.

Well you need the OEM connector that plugs into the car. (Thats what I was referring to) and then I'm Using a BrandMotion charging wire/extension. Integrated playback and charges my 5th Gen iPod and iPhone 4S. I purchased the Nissan AUX cord for $18.99 from the dealer, and then purchased the BrandMotion from a member here (BHB 91) for $25. The BrandMotion is about $30 from their site.

I've Only used it for like a week, but thus far... zero issues. Solid, locking connection, no noise (static) and charges my iDevices just like its suppose to. I have both the Scosche and the BrandMotion and the Brandmotion is soo much better. Well worth the couple of extra bucs.

ok --

so I just received the brandmotion and tried using it -- agreed that it connect in a solid fashion -- very secure, but NO CHARGE

what am I doing wrong? I am attaching the brandmotion, as one would expect, directly to the infiniti OEM cable and then to the iphone 4s -- plays songs fine, sounds great -- no charge -- doesn't even give me that message "charging not supported" -- just no charging

any thoughts? i would love for this product to work

Ordered this exact cable: Home Page > Search > 51443C > ES#1928523 ADAPTER - 000051443C for a 2008 G37S with an iPhone 4 and everything works fine. I leave the phone in the cup holder.

is this the brandmotion one?

The manufacturer is listed as "Genuine Audi/VW" --

I'll probably get this one if you say it works --

Thanks

I wonder if the actual OEM nissan/infiniti cable has anything to do with it?

I have a 2k9 cable, my wife has a 2k8 cable -- I'll try my 2k9 cable with the brandmotion tonight and see if it makes a difference

otherwise, i'll get the one bwc got
