i currently own a 09 g coupe. i was recently in a '11 g coupe and noticed that the navigation display looks newer and updated. is it possible to update the software for the navigation?

 

 

the '10s and up have a newer higher def. screen. So that cannot be changed unless you spend big money to replace the screen. The software can be checked on infiniti's website to see if you have the latest or not.
