I am very happy to read this. Where are you guys going to install the box? I extended one of my GFIV wires about 2 feet so it would be long enough to install somewhere.

I'm planning to put the interface behind the screening. I was able to get the bigger module to fit last time. With new smaller module, it should fit even better. Sound can be done in two ways. 1, you can connect to the audio input in the module and it will transmit the sound through FM radio. You would tune the radio to the selected channel. 2. Connect to the car's bluetooth streaming, assuming that your device can stream audio via bluetooth.

that's not worth it then in my opinion. because i thought since it's specifically made for nissan/infiniti, it should have all of those whistles included. it just makes things complicated.

Modme if you get a chance, take a picture of where/how you install the box. I didn't see much room behind my screen but it could be different with the 2010's. Thanks for the info guys.

Update: I managed to get this installed behind the screen but it was a tight fit to say the least! I didn't have much choice, my extended GVIF cable was not shielded well enough. It is working well now.

Great news guys. Here is the installation manual for the newer version box:

http://car-solutions.com/nfs/product..._Rover_v.7.pdf

Looks like the RGB input supports resolution up to 800x480, which is the native resolution of the factory screen. Now I just need to find a VGA to RGB converter and it'll be a really good carpc setup.

I'm not exactly sure what you mean, but here is a short video switching back and forth between the factory screen and my blitz video. The unit comes with a button that toggles between the inputs. I currently only have one video input (AV1) turned on.

I am not using audio on my setup since I just want to see the gauges while listening to my music. But if I had something I wanted to use audio for, I would probably just hook up an FM Modulator. Something like this:

http://www.amazon.com/RCA-RCFM104T-W.../ref=de_a_smtd

I don't listen to FM radio normally so I would just find a clean frequency and set it for my first preset. Or you could probably find a blue-tooth module if you prefer.

That was the one that we ordered. However, I suggest that you email or chat with a representative to make sure that they ship you the newer model Infiniti module. Also, I think the newer Infiniti specific module comes with the cable you need. I'm guessing because we ordered a separate one, they shipped us two GVIF cables.
