I'm not sure about the 2010's but the 2008 I have you can only use a Compact Flash of 2GB. any more and it can't read it and the files are mp3's.

It won't play Apples music format M4a either convert them to MP3's or just download MP3's from now on.

FWIW, I use a Coby 4Gb mp3 player. Works great, turns off when I turn the car off, comes back on at the exact instant of the song it was on when restarted. 2011 sedan, no nav.

He would have the usb flash drive port. I believe they changed that in either 2009 or 2010. And as far as size goes on the Compact Flash, it's limited on the amount of songs, not size of the compact flash. My 4gb compact flash works fine on my '08.

I bought a 16gb flash drive which is still in mail for my 2010 sedan. I'll update when I get it.
BTW only 2010+ has the usb. I had an 09 and it was compact flash but never tested.

You should be able to play aac files through USB if you have an actual USB port. Do you possibly have your files in Appl lossless format?

It does play *some* mp4 audio files. A few months back I was doing some testing and 1/10 mp4 files successfully played. I could not figure out why that one worked when the others did not ..

Xvid movies play nicely from the flash drive
