Hi ladies and Gents,

In the 2011 g37xS .. the sales person said to use the USB cable that you use for your computer to connect the ipod to the car. I did that earlier this morning.. and notta.. does it matter what year the ipod is?

there should have been a cord that comes with your G in the center console. Do you have that? If so connect your iPod that way.

 

Previously i had the 08 g37s.. they had a specific cord for the ipod.. i asked this sales person do i use that or what? he goes well infiniti changed it and you use your computer cord that you connect your ipod to your computer (same cord is used to connect to the car).. i tried that this morning and didnt work..

I had a 1G Nano that was functioning great with the Apple USB cord. It would charge, and turn on/off with the ignition. I took the car in because the call-waiting was not working for my BB Storm. They applied an update and the call-waiting was still unavailable, any USB item was "not recognized" and DVD video stopped working (sound was fine).

I took it back in yesterday and service said that they failed to apply the full upgrade and that there was a 'second' disk that was not initially applied and that all is now functioning correctly.

 

I have the 08 and I had to buy an adapter from apple. It should say in the manual exactly what ipod's it supports.

 

wat is it call? does it charge it?

 

the 08 and 2011 are diff.. i previously owned a 08 g37s .. it uses a diff cable to connect the ipod.. this one you use USB..

 

Which iPod are you using? In my 2011 I've used an iPhone, iPod Video, and iPod Photo (aka iPod Color) without issue. I've used a couple different USB iPod cables, none seemed to have any issue. Is yours saying that nothing is connected?

 

Its an older model Ipod -- it worked on my 08 g37s perfectly fine.. never lagged notta.. and it still runs.. but i use the cable to connect it to my pc (the usb cord) and i plug it into the car and it says "Please check USB or Ipod" ..
