Need help find 12v Remote On
Need help find 12v Remote On
CLOSE THREAD PLZ! Figured it out..All I had to do was to get the 12V remote on to work was tap into the fuse box located under the dash to an open spare fuse input (had mine rite on top of the cig fuse). Oh hw stupid I felt I knew this method and somehow it didn't click to me until today.
So if you want a sure 12V power on than all you do tap into the fuse box like recommended everywhere ha ha

You have an 03 coupe? All cars I've ever worked on had 12V remote control. I don't recall which color, but your car should have a remote signal running to it.
My 07 coupe Bose amp definitely had a 12V remote on running to it from the head unit. I ran it off the amp in the trunk directly onto my amp. Alternatively, you could tap the cigarette lighter with a relay off your 12V power line and do it that way. That would technically be a little safer, but if you're just using a single amplifier, it doesn't matter.
You might also want to check G35driver.com. That site is probably the right place to ask if you have an 03 G35 coupe.

Sorry I didn't specified yr model I have an 09 g37. Threads I have read about remote wire are said to be 10V I tapped in every single remote on wire on the Bose amp none seem like my amp haha. Thanks for your input I may try the cig output if I can't find the correct wire. I have amp working had to use a rockerswitch to manually on/off kinda ghetto works for now I guess

I used the Grey wire on the above link. Worked fine for me.

Have you tried connecting the 12 power line for your amp directly in the remote lead on the amp? Perhaps it's the amp that is broken. If you try this, you can at least make sure 12V will turn on the amp. Don't worry, this is completely safe as long as you don't short anything and are careful.
NOTE you'll need a tap to the remote, not the actual power line since you'll still need the power line connected, obviously.

My mistake, it is a 10V wire, crazy. Anyway, there should be a 3 Connector plug on the Bose AMP. It is line up with three wires in a row. The wire on top is a 12V AMP ON signal. I believe that is the one you are talking about. it's wire 139 in the picture.
