Bluetooth Operation with IPhone 4

In an emergency: There should be something more direct. Is there a trick I'm missing? In fact, that's the thing I hate about the IPhone ( a company issue - I would have preferred a New Balckberry, much better busienss phone), there is no easy way to make a call?
This is a copies post that I submitted to the Tech Thread.

Appreciate any help from members.

Use voice command on your phone? It will switch over to speaker once connected.

mzd3: That's what I hate about the iPhone. I'm no expert on the use of it, by no means, it's very "cool"..... but if I'm driving and pick up the phone, slide the slidder to turn it on, then select the icon for Phone, or contats, and then make the call, is quite a lengthy process. Same thing with Bluetooth in the car: push the button, say Phone, etc. etc.....I want to go through many fewer actions and just make a Freakin...phone call!! Am I missing a trick or two??

No need to move the slider on the iphone4. Just press and hold the home button to activate voice control.

Why does the Handset Phone book download always provide last name, first name? I use my Iphone 4 in synch with MS Outlook Conacts, Calenders, etc...from my Work PC. When I view my contacts on the iphone it in first name, last name order the way I have it saved. Yet when downloaded to the car's Bluetooth it comes up in reverse. For instance, Adams, John vs. John Adams.

Also: Can the Bluetooth operation bring text messages to the screen in the car as well as calender reminders?

Anyone know?
