What is the deal with call waiting/switching calls?

Brand new to the G37x (2 days old now), was a happy owner of a 2007 G35x with nav (and member of G35driver.com). On my G35, when I was on a call, and another call came in, I could switch callers either via the car's menus or the phone's.

Now with my new and improved 2010 G, whenever a call comes in, there is no way for me to switch between calls, either via phone or via the car. As a matter of fact, once I finish the original call, I have to reset my phone as it gets stuck on the "incoming caller" screen. I'm using a Blackberry Bold 9000 with OS 5.822 (newest OS). I've searched a fair bit for a workaround, but unable to find one yet....help...

I have an '09 .. so i don't know about the BT interface differences...

but i had a blackberry.. and had some early issues.. (8330 curve).. did you delete the phone and re-pair it? That worked for me....

Also -- rather than resetting the phone (soft reset).. take the battery out (unless you already did this) and put it back in the phone after 1 minute..

i have to do this from time to time on my 'G with the 8330... once or twice a month...

I have an 09 as well and I don't have issues. It'll show me on the main screen "Incoming call" and it'll let me igonre it or swtich over. When I switch over the the other line I have a "switch back" option or it'll just switch back after I hang up.

My 2010 doesn't show the incoming call or give me an option to switch over when I'm on a call. In fact, it doesn't even show who is calling on my phone which is really odd. I'm using a Droid X.

Currently I am on an iPhone 4, but prior to that I was using the original iPhone...both have worked beautifully.

That's really odd...mine shows the incoming number, and a new option to "switch calls" appears as well as an audible beep when someone calls

I just assumed it was a phone compatibility issue until I saw this thread.

Maybe the Nav TSB hasn't been applied to your car yet.

I have the same problem with my 2010 and an iPhone 3Gs. I do get a double-beep when there's a second incoming call, but there is no screen display or option to switch calls. The iPhone's display does provide a button, but often the phone is in my pocket or hip - out of ready reach. I hope the TSB fixes this!

I tried this with my wife's Iphone 3GS (w my 2010 G) - although the car doesn't allow switching between calls, the phone does. But on my Blackberry bold, a second call freezes my phone at the 'Incoming call' screen, lets me keep talking on my first call, and then the phone is stuck until reset (hard or soft reset). I called Infiniti Bluetooth support and the guy said that their system does not support call waiting...this is after the previous years' model handled it quite well. Is it too much to hope for a TSB?

So the 2010s 'improved system' has less features. Nice of them to fail to mention that.

I have the same phone I had with my 08 and it worked fine there while it behaves in a manner similar to above in the 10. Nno chance to answer an incoming call, straight to voice mail.

It will be interesting to see if the TSB i got regarding the iphone I dont have would resolve this.

If I just got my car from the dealership, should I assume that the iphone TSB has been applied? If so, it does not appear to correct the issue.

I have the same exact problems/symptons, too. I have a Blackberry Bold 9000 (AT&T) currently.

Ballz3, which Blackberry OS are you running (have you installed one of the OS 5's)?
