garage door opener

because of the heat, i want to start parking my g inside my garage. had the house for 15 years and lost the garage door opener fob, so recently ive been parking my car outside, walk to the garage, enter my code, park the car inside the garage, then close the garage door. its a pain. especially in the morning when going to work.
is it possible to get my car's built in garage door opener to work with my car without the fob? i dont even know how it could. im planning on going to home depot and explaining my story to them, maybe buy another garage door opener fob from home depot then link it to my car? i dont want to spend money on a fob that i wont ever use after linking it with my car. so.. is there an easy way to do this?

I am pretty sure your going to need the fob to do it. They are not that expensive so it shouldn't be too big of a deal though.

I thought that the learn button is just for programming the rolling code in... I think you still need the fob before you do that part.

Yup, I have to assume the same with this. When I did mine..the FIRST Step was to use the FOB. If I'm not wrong, they run around $35-$40.
