anyone upgrade the nav in the vert from 09 to the 2010 version? my dealer want 300 bucks to upgrade it. is it worth it? new maps and new graphics are nice but what about the complaints of it freezing and stuff? in the 09 vert what does the version say on ur screen? my canadian vert says 08-09 maps. so the 2010s say 2010-1011 maps? can anyone find this info out..thanks in advance

 

Upgrading the Nav only includes the maps. Your hardware will remain the same. You will not get the graphics of the 2010 nav systems. It will look the same.

In my experience the maps are woefully outdated and don't get updated very much each year. My subdivision has been here for about 11 years and while it's shown on the maps, my entire subdivision still has no street names. The updates don't do much. I'd wait a few more years before updating.

 

I just asked the dealer about that and he replied that the '09 Nav has the latest available map info (at least for Canada). He also suggested to wait for the '11/'12 version

 

good dealer and advise..same true for US maps, new nav upgrade you can get for $99-129 and dealer has to upload it for $130-150.
