G37 and iPhone4

Anyone connect their iPhone4 to their car yet? Did you use USB and Bluetooth? My iPhone4 will be arriving this afternoon and was curious about the compatibility and whether it works as well as my old Moto Rizr.

Considering no one will have until later today at the earliest I don't think anyone has tried yet lol mine is supposed to be here in an hour, but as to your question...

My gen1 iPhone worked great so I would imagine the new iPhone will work even better. I have it connected to the iPod middle cable and Bluetooth silumtaneously all the time

I downloaded the 4.0 OS yesterday, so my old 3G IPhone has many (but not all) of the functions of the new phone.

As it did before, the bluetooth connection for phone works perfectly. USB connection for the IPod part of phone works perfectly.

The main improvement is bluetooth audio. Before, when playing online streaming audio (Pandora, Tunemark, etc.) from my Iphone to my car's A2DP bluetooth audio receiver, I would experience significant skipping and stutter. That went away after downloading the 4.0 operating software. Streaming online radio plays perfectly now over bluetooth.

I'll be interested to see how this turns out. I preordered a 4 but they're not getting here (in Switzerland) until late next month

I just updated my 3G to OS4 and was a bit worried. I'll find out tomorrow morning if everything is still working, although it sounds like it should be fine.

A friend with a brand new BMW 325 told me earlier that after the upgrade to OS4 his car won't even recognize his iPhone. Did I laugh?? Yep

Just got back from a drive and my iPhone 4 paired with the G and worked perfectly! Crisp and clear, no problems whatsoever

I definitely have to talk louder than if I have the phone up to my ear...but nothing too crazy

Get home and unwrap it! You'll love it

Sync'd right up to my G37 (sedan)... with the 3G, the handset phonebook in the car would get corrupted with garbled text/letters. So far, the 4 seems to have fixed that. But we will see!

I guess there's no way to watch videos that I have loaded on my iPhone/Touch via the USB connection?

I used the Apple Composite cable to get it to work. See this thread:

cool thanks, I didn't know those were aux inputs in there, I saw three indentations but didn't know they were RCA jacks. I'll have to give this a try thanks.
