Reverse gear changes audio track

Bit of a strange one this. 2010, 6mt, G37 vert - I've got my music on a USB stick and occassionally when I put the car in reverse the track jumps back by one. It's happened with various USB sticks.

Told the dealer who said he would report it, but I'm not holding my breath for a fix. Anyone else had this happen?

Quick tip for USB sticks... I had a couple of USB sticks that the G wouldn't recognize. I tried various ways of formatting them with windows which didn't work, but I then used this to format them:

HP USB Disk Storage Format Tool - Free software downloads and software reviews - CNET Download.com

and then they worked!

Cheers!

Mark

ROFL. Sorry, never heard that one.

Just for reference, what filesystem did you format onto it with that program to get it to work? It says it supports FAT, FAT32 and NTFS.

Sorry, forgot to update this. Fat32 did the job.

As for the changing track problem, I eventually narrowed it down to... wait for it....

Playing mp3s from a USB stick with the track list showing, front parking sensors beeping ie close to something and then putting it in reverse. This caused the track playing to jump back a page of songs. It'll do it every time.

After only telling Infiniti about it, I was now able to show them and they've opened a problem ticket. Still not holding my breath for a fix although it would interest me if anyone else has noticed this. Maybe it's only European models. Infiniti Switzerland can't reproduce it on another G37 vert 6mt as I'm the only person in the country (seriously!) who has one
