Angry 2010 G37S Ipod connection says "check USB cable or USB device."

I am the new owner of a 2010 Infiniti G37S Coupe (Auto) w/ Nav, Sport, Premium Package and seem to have an Ipod Integration issue which is a big pain for me since I'm such an Ipod person. I have an IPOD Touch 2nd Generation (V 3.1.2) and it seems that the music will stop randomly and I get a message saying "Check USB Cable or USB Device". Only after coming to a complete stop, turning off/ and on the car, it starts working again.

Please, help!

I went through all the different tricks and what worked best and hasnt given me that error again is plugging your ipod into itunes and then doing a factory reset

I tried restoring to factory and now it seems worse. Now the message comes up when the next track is played. If I restart the car it doesnt fix the problem. Only when I shut off for maybe 10 mins it works for a few mins. Please help!!

Did you ever find a fix for this? I am having the same issue with my iPod. Did the full reset and now, like you it is even worse.

No not yet. I have been to three different dealers two of them couldn't help because they are not software savvy. The third one, I couldn't leave my car at the time so I didn't get the chance to fix it. File a compliant to Infiniti and they may come up with a update. In the mean time, I'm using a USB drive which is essentially almost the same. I also never have problems with USB, thank god.

Damn that SUX! I finaly wiped my iPOD 100% (doing a reset with OUT restoring the backup) and that has seemed to fix the issue for the most part. It still, every so often, says "check the USB device" but unplug and a re-plug gets it back.

Honestly, its not the car... its the damn iPod. When using my iPod, I occasionally get that error. When using my iPhone however, (lower software version) I never have such an issue. More than likely it has to do with the newer iPhone OS.

I've seen where this issue can be the ipod USB cable as well. try a better quality cable that is a bigger cable. See if that helps.
