Just use the Aux cable instead of the usb,never have a problem with it, and make sure you put the ipod/iphone in a place where is not going to be bouncing around.

No I went to Greenwich, CT

There are no Aux cables for 10' it was removed to just use the interface with an Apple iPod cable like you use for your computer.
