Question How can I update my Navigation myself?

I've been reading that there is new updates for my '08 G37 S but if I order it online from Navtec am I forced to take it to the dealership or is it easy to do myself?

Has anyone done this or know how to? I heard the DVD is supposed to be inserted under the passenger seat??

You have to go to the dealer for the upgrade. They access the hard drive through the compact flash slot using a special adapter.

With my new '10 G37xS, it looks like there's an option to update the nav via a dvd disc. I'm really really glad to see that as both the local dealers here want like 120 bucks to load the new map data for my previous '07 G35S.
