Is there a ipod connector in a G35S 2007 ???

 

I have an '07 G35S with Premium and Nav. It has RCA jacks in the center console. Ipod integration came in '08 I believe.

 

yup 08 is the full iPod interface.

 

What are the RCA jacks for ???

 

For you to connect any AV devices with RCA hookups.

For example:
Play Station, DVD Player, iPod (iPhone), and etc.

 

It looks like this if you don't know what RCA is.

 

So what is the difference between connecting a i-pod with these cables or with the i-pod interface that someone above mentioned arriving on the 08 model ?????

 

With RCA cables you can listen to your ipod through the sound system but you have to control your ipod using the ipod itself. The ipod interface cable lets you control your ipod using your radio controls. It integrates the ipod into the sound system. You can scroll through playlists, change tracks, view song information, and you can even use the steering wheel radio control buttons. I have both the ipod interface and RCA available on my 2009. However, the 2010 model lets you plug in any USB device and play music from it. The new ipod touch and new ipods don't charge via the old ipod interface. A couple years from now some new features will be available that we don't have. Technology make electronics become obsolete very fast!
