2010 Nav update?
With smartphones having perfectly serviceable navigation built in, and with standalone GPS units with oustanding features going for $200 or less, I personally don't see why this would be of any interest at all.
It's nice to not have a GPS unit stuck to your windshield that you have to pull off and stow every time you leave the car. The integration is what you are paying for, not that the system itself is superior. It's not. Having the "cool" factor and the voice controls is why we pay for it.
Also there are other options that come in the package that you can't get as stand alones, like the rear view camera and 9.3 gig music HD. Those were options I wanted that a stand alone system cannot provide.

Guys sorry to break it to you, I already looked into this with da mayor who works at Infiniti and there will be NO upgrade option...you want the new hard/softwear get a new car thats it.
That being said, here is the work around that has been proposed...im trying to get a crashed 2010 car with nav, take that entire nav out an repalce in on the 08-09.
havnt been able to locate a crashed one yet seeing as it still too early in the game.
If anyone else has another work around please post up.

Here's a word of caution when trying to use a different electronic system in a car not originally equipped for it. Are the connections to the main harness identical? Will there be any resistance variances in the harnesses themselves? If there are any differences (and I suspect there will be), either the Nav unit will not function or the ECM will fail to see the unit and throw CELs.
It's no plug-n-play unit you're dealing with...

iPhone with navigon or tomtom running though the stereo on a proclips mount is a pretty sweet solution. No ugly crap on the windshield, just a little computer in a great, integrated mount right in your line of sight. A nice second choice to an integrated system.
seeing as they havent sold the first 2010 yet, that might be the reason you havent been able to find a crashed one..
