Does anyone know if the car stores inbound and outbound call info, for the Call Logs buttons, or is this info pulled from the phone when the phone is connected through Bluetooth?

 

Nope it only stores calls dialed from the car. IOW, calls you make from the phonebook downloaded in the car's memory, not that you make out of your actual phone.

Why do you ask? Makin' phone calls that you don't want your ole lady knowin' about?

thanks. Nothing going on the ole lady needs to worry about. Just trying to figure out why the log entries only show dates, no numbers. I do have a record of calls when the number is loaded into the car's phone book though. Seems to not be working right.

 

It does store incoming and outgoing calls made while in the car. The system only stores inbound and outbound calls made while the phone is connected in your car, not any calls you make on the same phone while it's not actually in the car.

Phone -> Call Logs -> Inbound or Outbound Calls. It will only show them while the car is stationary unless you have a Nav bypass. Mine shows dates and phone numbers for both inbound and outbound but only while parked.

 

silly dummied downed system. Numbers are there, just not visible if the car's moving. Too bad the manual doesn't tell you that. And so much for safety, if I'm moving and need to return a call to someone not in the phone book, I'll have to fumble for my cell rather than a quick press of a couple buttons on the NAV screen.
