I phone 3GS, I need help please!!

Hi guys,
I have a new I phone 3GS.. I bought the red, white and yellow RCA connectors with the bottom port input.. (where the I phone is charged by.)

So I connect the 3 RCA inputs with the center console rca's. I connected that with the bottom port where the iphone is usually charged by and I press the aux button... Nothing happens, I don't hear the music... Another question, if my RCA set up did work, I would be a able to drive and hear music like a regular iPod right? I have the g37s without the premium package... Thanks for your help

Yeah it should work, just turn up the volume on the iphone fully, and then mess w/ the volume on the car itself. I had my Nokia connected via the AUX for a while and it works decently. Also, it will disable video while the car is moving, but music still comes through.

The problem is that you can't control the iphone with the car using the AUX cables. You would need a ipod adapter that connects straight to the car, but i'm not sure your car came with it if you don't have the PREM package?

OH! i think i know whats wrong. get a RCA to headphone jack cable, rather than the one you have now. I think what yours is for is to display video? Connect the 3 colored ends to the AUX in the center armrest, and the other end goes to your headphone out on your iphone 3gs.

That should solve your problem.

why dont you try hooking up the RCAs to a TV to verify it isnt a cable issue?

His music should play regardless if the e-brake is on or not. It is the video part that won't work if the e-brake isn't engaged. However, the music will still play, you will just be unable to see the video. Also, Premium has the ipod interface so you can control your Ipod from the car controls vice the ipod itself.

Most of us have iphones, we just don't have a G37 w/o Premium.

You need an Apple Composite AV Cable. It could be the cable that you have is not compatible with the iphone. I have a 3GS and my Apple Composite Cable still works the same as with my previous 3G.
