Factory Navigation Software Bugs

Hey everyone. I have a 2009 G37 sedan with the navigation system. I've noticed a bug in the navigation/phone software. Here is what I've noticed.

1) I have the system on the status screen showing the radio and climate control settings.
2) I make or receive a call through the Bluetooth system.
3) I finish my call and the caller or I hang up.
4) The system does NOT return to the previous screen. It always brings up the map display.

I've also noticed another bug. This one involved the built-in iPod plug. Here are the symptoms:

1) I am listening to the iPod though the system.
2) A call comes in on the Bluetooth.
3) I take the call and then finish the conversation.
4) The system will go back to the iPod, but the current song DID NOT pause when I took or made the call. The iPod kept playing and I am no longer on the same song.

Have any of you noticed these bugs?

Thanks!
Chris

I think that is how all of them work. My 08 is exactly the same.

iPod doesn't pause when you take a call. All of your "bugs" are how the system normally works.

I have an Iphone 3g with the latest OS and it does pause the music when I make or receive a phone call. But funny thing is that it doesn't pauses the music until the other side answers the call.

Let me guess, you're using an iPhone as both a cell phone hooked up to the car with Bluetooth and also plugged in with the iPod factory cable? If that's the case, then the reason it's pausing is because the iPhone is doing it. iPhone's behave this way by design. The G37 will not pause an iPod when receiving a call, period. It will just keep playing like normal but the sound will be muted and replaced by the Bluetooth phone call.

If you had another iPod hooked up to the G37 instead of your iPhone, which is working as a dual-purpose device, then you'd experience the same behavior everyone else has described.

Yeah I know. That's why I said Iphone does the muting, not the G37. I didn't mean to sound like I was saying that it was g37's behavior. My bad. Oh well, c'mon everyone, get an iphone instead! :-)
