My car doesn't read a CF.

I have a 1GB CF, but if i put into the slot, it shows only a few songs.

I thought because I mixed MP3 and WMA files.

So, I tried again only with mp3 or wma files, still same.

Even, I don't have over 512 songs (even not close, i have only 30 for this test).
Of course if I put into my PC, everything will be shown up.
I'm still figuring out this.. Anyone can help me.

They are all readable formats. I dont see anything wrong with what you did. I would definitely consult the dealership on this one.

I think there is a limit on the length of each file name. You might check to see if you aren't exceeding this limit, since it will just ignore the file if this is the case. It's a fairly large limit, but if you are downloading your mp3s from limewire or such they sometimes get a little crazy with the naming.

Thanks.
I changed all names to short ones like A1.mp3 A2.mp3.
Then it works!

So, there is something on file names.

oh btw, I always download mp3s from limewire.

NOPE. I use 2 and 4 GB cards and microdrives. All work great.

Glad it worked for you. I'll have to look into what the exact limit is, but I'm pretty sure it's fairly large. It was the ones with the artist name, song title, album name, and all kind of other info in the file name that I had issues with.

i have artist - song title format for all the songs on my cf card and it reads fine.

you are aware you can make multiple folders for each album or artist too.
