I used my Samsung SCH-i760 for almost a year with no issues as I mentioned earlier in this thread. I've recently upgraded my Samsung to an HTC Touch Pro with WM 6.1 Pro on Verizon Wireless and I'm having no issues using it with the car. I'll report back if any issues crop up.

I looked at the iPhone 3G as an upgrade and I agree with you; the HTCs are top choices for my needs. In fact, the iPhone lacks so much that I was shocked that it's as popular as it is. It completely lacks true PDA functionality like PIM, corporate email, OBEX, ODBC, domain enroll, copy/paste lol and even battery options. Now I understand what all the complaining was about when it was first released and the uproar when the 3G didn't improve on any of it. Plus, I would probably go on a murder-spree if I had to use iTunes to "sync" anything LOL.
