Help! Need to install Rear Camera w/o Navi Pkg

Whats up fellow G37 owners... Im new to the site and have been lurking here since purchasing my 2008 Journey last month.

I regretted not getting the Navi package but would like to know if anyone know how to connect the rear view camera to a G37 without Navi Package. Any info would be great!

Luv this Site!!!

Steve

When I asked the dealer if I can install any packages after I bought the car, they told me it is not possible as the cost for doing so is high. There are several universal rear view camera options for cars, but they are not neatly integrated to your in built lcd screen. They usually install them to the license plate.

i've had it done to 350z before at a audio shop. Most of them should be able to do this.

Need to? Hahaha, I like it...

If you want to use the stock LCD then it will prove to be difficult if you want it to function like the stock system does. Buuuut.....if you use the aux input jacks, bypass the speed sensor input, and are willing to manually select the aux mode of the stereo when you want to use the reverse camera then you could get close. The most cost effective way would be a stand alone system that you could control independently.

I wouldn't cut them and not have them hooked up at all, but rather install a switch between the leads so you can turn them on and off
