speaker/sub questions
first off im new to the whole adding subs to your car thing. Im looking to put 2 10inch subs in my trunk, i think im going to go with the 4080 box to save space. I was wondering any brand of speakers you guys recomend and what size amp i would need to supply 2 10inch subs
I'm a JL Audio fan, but Image Dynamics and Audiobahn are also good stuff.
The amount of wattage you need will solely depend on what subs you want to put back there. I.e. (2) JL 10w3's would be fine with 500Wrms, however, (2) JL 10w6v2's would be better with 1000Wrms.
Choose the speaker and class of speaker first. Low cost or competition, then you can see what the speakers are rated for and decide on an amp afterwards.

like i said im new to whole subs thing, so im not sure what companies are good and which are not, im looking for good subs for a low to medium cost, i dont want to spend like 1000 for just the speakers
I also like Image Dynamics, not a fan of Audiobomb thoough. JL isn't bad gear, but IMO it's just a bit expensive for what you get. FYI, the 4080 encolosure for the G37 is only available for the driver side, there's no passenger side model yet and I've been told that it wont be any time real soon before it gets produced.
My sub stage setup will be (when I get around to instaling it) a single ID10v.3 in a 4080 powered by 300 watts form the sub channel of an Alpine PDX-5.
There are a few members here who'll probably chime in that have much more expertise and knowledge than I do. Whatever you decide to go with, just make sure it's what you like and not just what someone tells you sounds good.

as BB said, though, you'll need to think about where the other sub will go!
Zenclosures has a dual 10" enclosure, of which i am using the same thing with a single sub design.

Kicker makes some great stuff, i used to have to of their 10's in my truck and they sounded great. And their prices seem to me pretty good too. I had the CompVR 10's. If your looking to save space they now have the CompVT's for tight space installs.
