How many hours of music do you have on your ipod?
About 16+ days. Split between iPhone/nano not including movies to watch while parking brake is "engaged". 
Have yet to fill up the G's built in hardrive.
Use the Compact Flash for simple drag and drop playlist when at work.

I've got just under half of my 80 gig ipod loaded for a total of about 225 albums/CDs. That turned into a pita due to the limited search capabilities of the ipod through the G37 interface so I won't fill it up. I don't have them organized, though.
Found an SD to CF convertor that looks promising so I bought one and will create "play lists" on micro SD chips. The 2 gig units (prutkow says about 300 songs worth) are less than $10 and the 4 gig units are getting cheap, too. CF cards are getting harder to find and the price is still pretty high vs SD.
That should fix the search issue, changing SD chips would no worse than changing CDs and, to my ears, the sound quality of music on my CF sounds better than the ipod even at the same bit rate.
Any thoughts on that idea?

on the CF vs SD with a CF converter vs iPod - CF and SD are pretty much the same price...~10buck for 2GB and SD is so small...be tough to differentiate your SDs too. But regardless.....why can't you just create playlists on your iPod?
